Now, I have a mate. Well I call him a mate even though he may not think that we are that close, but I call him a mate because we have been sharing jokes and banter for the best part of two years now.
Now this guy, we shall call him Mister2, for reasons best known to God and car salesmen, has become a sort of scapegoat for all sorts of mayhem and pieces of ill will that anyone could wish on another and he takes the crap handed out with good grace and not so much as a whimper.
Now that takes a lot and, for me, puts this bloke on a high level as far as the ordinary sort of bloke goes. Whatever happens in life, he gets the blame. Even if he was no where near the incident or if the incident was caused by someone else, the blame ultimately returns to his corner and then there is a long dissertation regarding just how he has to be the blame by a group of “his friends” I add myself to this group. You can find this bunch of shady characters at http://lilliebet.com. I suggest you join up and make yourself known. You certainly won’t regret… oh hang on, you’ll regret it in every way but I bet you’ll stay!
Mister2 lives somewhere in the UK. It is debatable exactly where, but he is a real person and so must live somewhere. Not only does he get the blame for everything but he is then accused of all sorts of maltreatment and debauch activities due to his status as a goat, albeit a scapegoat but nevertheless a goat.
This story started back in April 2005. It was a Sunday and I was visiting the forums on http://lilliebet.com and as I seemed to bear the brunt of the jokes at that time, Under my assumed name, “Blast”, I queried another attack on my character “what day is it today... Pick on Blast Sunday?
Mister2 replied “There's a special day set aside for it? Sometimes it seems as if every day's a Sunday”
“Well just you wait for Mister2 Monday!”
“Is that Monday in Australia or the real Monday?” mister2 was on fire!
“Hell, who cares? Let’s make it both, then that way we will all be able to have a go” I continued.
“Look forward to seeing my new Forum Scapegoat badge” stated mister2
…and that was the start of it. From then on Mister2 has been known as the staff scapegoat
During that initial conversation Ike (another of the comrades in crime) even managed to reword an old Mamas and Papas hit in response to the Mister2 Monday
Mister2 Monday, so good to me
Monday mornin', it was all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday mornin', Monday mornin' couldn't guarantee
That Monday evenin' you would fix my computer for freeMister2 Monday can't trust that day
Mister2 Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way
Oh Monday Mornin' you gave me no warnin' of what was to be
Oh Monday, Monday, how could you leave and not fix my MEEvery other day, every other day
Every other day of the week is fine ... yeah
But whenever Monday comes
You can find me cryin' all of the timeMister2 Monday, so good to me
Monday mornin', it was all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday mornin', Monday mornin' couldn't guarantee
That Monday evenin' you would fix my computer for freeEvery other day, every other day
Every other day of the week is fine ... yeah
But whenever Monday comes,
You can find me cryin' all of the timeMister2 Monday can't trust that day
Mister2 Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way
Oh Mister2 Monday, won't go away
Mister2 Monday, it's here to stay
Oh Mister2 Monday
Oh Mister2 Monday
...
SO as you can see, this is one of these situations where “you had to be there”
Now Mister2 has started a blog. Even though he is quietly starting it, you know, putting a few posts up on the internet with the hope that when someone mentions blogs, he’ll say, “oh blogs, I have one of those…” You can see his blog by going to
http://www.digitalmemoriesonline.co.uk/blog/
By the way http://www.digitalmemoriesonline.co.uk is his website. He is also an astute photograph repairer. He digitally restores photos.
…but back to his blog. It’s called “Ramblings of a Grouch”. I’m not so sure of the grouch bit? He is the type of bloke you would want around when everything was turning to custard. Now I would suggest visiting his blog and letting him know you are around, if only to create the illusion that you are interested.
Life is a series of images that we place importance on. The images we see, shapes our decisions to act. The view we choose to see, shapes the action we take.
