Have you ever been walking along a beach, minding your own business, thinking about your life and you wake up and realise you are walking along a beach?
I did today.

I took the dog down there for a walk and for the first 15 minutes or so, wandered along the beach, oblivious to my surroundings. Something woke me, doesn't really matter what, but it was well worth the wake up call.
Here I was, alone, on a 5 km stretch of beach. Golden sand at my feet. A gentle surf of about 1 metre rolling in. There were a few clouds out to sea, on the horizon, but where I was, nothing but sunshine. All I could hear was the sound of the surf rolling over and up onto the sand. The water so clear that you could see through the wave and into the depths.
Whatever I was thinking about, disappeared in that moment. I was bought back to the present.
I spent the next hour enjoying the surroundings. The dog noticed as he started playing. What a refreshing hour it was. Sometimes, what is in front of our face is missed due to what is in our head. It was great to wake up and see in front of my face!

Life is a series of images that we place importance on. The images we see, shapes our decisions to act. The view we choose to see, shapes the action we take.
