Eight Changes to the All Blacks to play Sth Africa
In a major show of faith in the squad as a whole, Henry has made eight changes to the team that thrashed Australia for the Sth African test this weekend.
I am still impressed with the thinking and looking at the team to play this weekend, I have to say that there isn't too many (if any) weaknesses.
15. Leon MacDonald, 14. Doug Howlett, 13. Mils Muliaina, 12. Sam Tuitupou, 11. Scott Hamilton, 10. Dan Carter, 9. Piri Weepu, 8. Rodney So'oialo, 7. Richie McCaw (captain), 6. Reuben Thorne, 5. Ali Williams, 4. Chris Jack, 3. Carl Hayman, 2. Anton Oliver, 1. Neemia Tialata.
Reserves: Andrew Hore, Greg Somerville, Greg Rawlinson, Chris Masoe, Jimmy Cowan, Luke McAlister, Isaia Toeava.
It is an impressive line up. Thorne must feel he is in heaven. He was dropped after the 2003 world cup and must have thought his All Black days were over despite great form this year, and many will be pleased to see Scott Hamilton's name there too.
