Thank God for Sanity

Japan was handed a crushing defeat on Friday when the International Whaling Commission managed to stave off a vote to have commercial whaling approved and thereby allowing whales to be hunted for the hell of it. The vote stopped this from happening by leaving the status quo

Currently whales are only allowed to be hunted for "scientific research" which is a load of crap anyway but it still manages to keep the wholesale slaughter of these great mammals in check.

Japan had considered it had the numbers to end the ban but, in the end, a greater good shone through and these numbers failed to materialise.

Rest assured that Japan will continue the battle, though, and continue to slaughter these creatures in the name of scientific research, along with other main whaling countries of Iceland and Norway

Lets hope time is on the whales side and a total ban will be imposed before it is too late

Life is a series of images that we place importance on. The images we see, shapes our decisions to act. The view we choose to see, shapes the action we take.
